The Fairfield Foundation is hosting a new event this fall to help kick off the capital campaign to restore the Timberneck House.

The Timberneck Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk will be held at Machicomoco State Park on Saturday, Nov. 20. This new fundraiser takes place on a flat, paved, 3.1-mile loop, beginning and ending with scenic views of the Timberneck House overlooking the York River.

Registration for the event will be online only, with a deadline of Oct. 22. The $50 registration fee includes the $5 state park entrance fee, a race T-shirt, a swag bag, and two raffle tickets for a race-day raffle. Medals will be awarded for top finishers.
