Christchurch School in Middlesex will hold its 96th commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday on the Headmaster’s Lawn. Headmaster John E. Byers will speak.
Valedictorian Sydney Jordan Pitts, the daughter of James and Cynthia Pitts of Urbanna, will also address her 50 fellow graduates. Pitts will attend the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
A baccalaureate service for the graduates will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday in St. Peter’s Chapel, followed by an awards ceremony and the senior banquet. The entire school community will then be treated to an End-of-the-Year Celebration Carnival.
Local students scheduled to graduate Christchurch on Saturday include Eva May Jasinski, the daughter of David and Paula Jasinski of Gloucester Point, and Kathryn Oliver James, the daughter of Clayton and Ginger James of Hayes.
