Thomas Hunter Middle School FCCLA students Ariel Forrest, Leeah Taylor (not pictured) and Allayisha Hill-Epps set a goal to deliver 500 Breakfast Bags to the Helping the Homeless Ministry in Gloucester during the school year and to host a Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit Hands Across Mathews last November. The students used community donations and a $500 grant obtained by the FCCLA National Outreach Program: Explore, Act, Tell program which focuses on projects that combat food insecurity. They met their goal and delivered their 500th Breakfast Bag to the Helping the Homeless office in Gloucester on Friday.
