Five Gloucester High School varsity softball players were named to the All Eastern Region Softball Team. The All Region team members were selected by five coaches in the Eastern Region. 

GHS rising junior Mackenzie Smith was named to the All Region First Team. A pitcher and first baseman for the Dukes, Smith was 9-1 on the mound for the season with a 0.54 ERA and an opponents’ batting average of .094. At the plate she hit .478 with 10 doubles, three triples, three home runs and 31 RBIs. Smith was also the only GHS player to receive all-state honors as she was named to the Class 5A All-State Second Team as a utility player.

Named to the All Region Second Team were rising seniors Kirsten Greene, Courtney Hall and Bridget Motley and June graduate Jessica Hall.

Greene posted an 8-3 record with a 1.90 ERA and an opponents’ batting average of 1.60. She hit .375 with 10 doubles and 27 RBIs from the third spot in the lineup.
