The public is invited to attend a forum featuring five Democratic candidates vying for their party’s nomination for the First Congressional District Primary, which will be held in June.

CircleUp Middle Peninsula is sponsoring the forum, which will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Boys and Girls Club in Mathews.

According to forum organizer Bobby Ray, Rachel Bitecofer, a professor with the Wason Center for Public Policy at Christopher Newport University, will moderate the forum. Ray also said the format for this event will be similar to the forum that was held recently for the two candidates vying for the 98th District House of Delegates’ seat. She said there will be a series of questions and answers poised by the moderator.
