4th grade teacher appointed at Petsworth

The Gloucester County School Board appointed Brittany Feryus of Hayes as a fourth grade teacher at Petsworth Elementary during its Dec. 11 meeting. The appointment was effective Dec. 12. 

The board also appointed Jeffrey Burns of Yorktown as an art teacher at Gloucester High School for the 2019-2020 school year. The appointment is effective Aug. 12, 2019.

Appointed to GHS spring sports coaching positions were Carlos Morales, boys’ tennis; Robette Thompson, girls’ tennis; Lillian Collier, assistant girls’ varsity soccer; Scott Haley, assistant boys’ varsity soccer; Angela Wyco  junior varsity softball; and Peter LeBel, junior varsity boys’ soccer.

The board also approved retirement for GHS cosmetology teacher Christa Marcus-Welton, effective Jan. 1, 2019 and school division director of technology James Brogan, effective Sept. 1, 2019.
