441 GHS seniors expected to graduate

James Anderson Weisel is the valedictorian of the Gloucester High School Class of 2012 and Kevin Ethan Speray is the salutatorian, GHS school counseling director Kim Chandler announced Wednesday.

Weisel will attend the University of Virginia and Speray will attend the University of Mary Washington.

Weisel and Speray will address their classmates during the 59th annual GHS commencement at 10 a.m. Saturday at William and Mary Hall on the campus of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg. They are among the 441 seniors expected to receive diplomas during the ceremonies.

The GHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host a baccalaureate service for the Class of 2012 at 7 o’clock tonight in the school auditorium. Graduating seniors, their families and friends are invited to attend.
