416 GHS seniors to graduate next week

Gloucester High School expects approximately 416 students to receive their diplomas next week when GHS holds its 67th annual commencement Monday through Friday in the school gymnasium.

Justin Burgess is the valedictorian of the Class of 2020 and will attend the University of Virginia. Daniel Hook is the salutatorian and will study at Virginia Tech.

Each GHS senior has been given an appointed day and time to arrive for their graduation. Seniors will graduate in alphabetical order based on their last names.

On Monday, graduation will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for those with last names beginning with A - Co. On Tuesday, graduation is from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for last names beginning with Cr - Ha.

On Wednesday, graduation will be held from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for last names beginning with He - Mim. On Thursday, graduation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for last names beginning with Min - Sh and on Friday the schedule is from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for last names Si - Z.
