$4,000 grant awarded for high school internship program

The Gloucester Community Foundation recently awarded a $4,000 grant to the Gloucester County Educational Foundation to help support the Gloucester Cooperative Education Program, a partnership of the Gloucester County Educational Foundation, Gloucester Chamber of Commerce, and Gloucester County Public Schools.

The Gloucester County Educational Foundation will administer the funds, help market the program, and evaluate its community impact. The Chamber of Commerce will provide outreach to the business community to find employers wishing to participate in the program.

The Gloucester Public Schools Career and Technical Education Department will match qualified high school juniors and seniors with job descriptions submitted by Gloucester businesses and nonprofits who are interested in employing a high school intern.
