4 seniors receive GURA scholarships

The Gloucester Union Relief Association of Missionary Baptist presented four graduating seniors a total of $2,000 in scholarships on Sunday during their worship service at Morning Glory Baptist Church.

The Gloucester Union Relief Association Scholarship was given to these seniors in honor of their academic performance and their dedication by Rising Valley Youth Advisor Sister Brenda Davis and Morning Glory Baptist Pastor Darrell Hudson.

Delaja Minor of Gleaning Baptist Church received a $600 scholarship towards her education. She will be majoring in Kinesiology at George Mason University.

Chlo’e Robinson of Zion Hill Baptist Church received a $500 scholarship towards her education. She will further her studies at Virginia State University, where she will be majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry.

Charlize Wilson of Rising Valley Baptist Church will be attending ECPI University where she will be obtaining her degree in nursing. She also received a $500 scholarship.
