4 juveniles suspected in damaging Christmas display

The Gloucester Sheriff’s Office announced last week that the offenders associated with damaging an outside, student-made Christmas display at Page Middle School between Dec. 9 and 12 have been identified.

GSO Capt. John W. Schick Jr. said the offenders in the matter are four juveniles, with two being current students in Gloucester County Public Schools. He said the other two suspects are previous GCPS students. 

“The appropriate charges will be applied after the holidays, enabling all of the stakeholders to be involved in the charging determination,” Schick said in a Dec. 21 release. Schick also expressed thanks to the tipsters who helped with identifying the suspects. 

The display was a Christmas tree constructed by sixth graders using piping and solar-powered LED lights. It had been installed on a tall hill behind the school and was found in pieces with the lighting apparatus missing the morning of Dec. 12.  ...
