4-H Retreat to be held March 19-20

Youngsters from Mathews County interested in going to this summer’s weeklong 4-H Junior Camp will have an opportunity for a “test run” for one night and two days in March at the Jamestown 4-H Center.

The 2016 4-H Retreat will be held on March 19-20. Participants will tour the Jamestown 4-H Center, take classes like archery, woodworking and low ropes, participate in fun teambuilding activities and spend a night in the cabins.

Parents are welcome to come along from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 19 to see if Junior Camp is right for their children. The cost is $65 for campers and $10 for parents on March 19. All meals and lodging are covered by this cost.
