Gloucester County youth participate in the annual regional 4-H Junior Camp for youth, ages 9-13 at the 4-H Educational Center on the James River in Williamsburg. Activities include swimming, archery, kayaking, marine science and crafts. Local civic groups regularly donate funds to sponsor local children. The Abingdon Ruritan Club is one of the donors. The cost to send one child to camp is $400.
