3rd annual Last Call Before Fall to be held Sept. 9

Last Call Before Fall will be returning to Gloucester on Sept. 9. Chesapeake Bank has been a big help in keeping the party going, serving as full Presenting Sponsor, as well as Souvenir Cup Sponsor. With summer’s end on the horizon, the Gloucester Main Street Association has announced the return of Last Call Before Fall, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, on the lawn of the Tabb House (former location of Split Enz Salon), 6596 Main Street, Gloucester.

“This will be the third year of this fun new event,” said GMSA Executive Director Jennifer Dutton Haggerty. “We are beyond thrilled to have the full support of Chesapeake Bank as they not only agreed to be our full Presenting Sponsor, but they have also stepped up to be the Souvenir Cup Sponsor for our newest annual favor.”

On tap will be domestic and craft beers, along with hard cider and even a couple of ready-to-drink cocktails. Oysters by Big Island Aquaculture and food trucks will be on site as well as vendors like Northern Neck Popcorn Bag, River Organics, Buffs & Butters, and others.

Taking the stage at 12:30 p.m. will be Rip Tide. They are a local favorite out of Hardyville and perform Classic and Southern Rock. Lawn games and a fun photo station will add to the festivities.

“I’ve said it before but there’s a reason Chesapeake Bank is known as a community bank. They immerse themselves within the communities they serve, assisting organizations, businesses, and individuals alike,” Haggerty said. “They continue to provide great support to our organization, and honestly, we couldn’t have done it without them.”

Pre-sale tickets are available now for $25 but the price goes up Sept. 5. Each ticket includes a 16-oz. souvenir cup, two full-pour beverages and thanks to The Closing Shop, there’s an event koozie available for the first 500. Additional beer tickets will be available for purchase. You must be 21 or older to consume alcohol; those attending will need to present photo identification at the gate showing you were born on or before Sept. 9, 2002.

All non-drinkers, whether designated driver or underage, must purchase tickets for $10 to enjoy the music, vendors and games. Children 9 and under are admitted free.
