38 boats take part in cobia tournament

Greyson Dehoux won the juniors category with a fish weighing in at 32.45 lbs.

A total of 38 boats participated in Saturday’s fifth annual Poplar Neck Hunt Club Cobia Tournament, which was hosted by Morningstar Marina in Hudgins.

The crew of Jeremy Healy, Ryan Bristow, Gunnar Healy and Thomas Horsley were first-place winners with a total combined two-fish weigh-in weight of 92.75 lbs., and also Calcutta winners with the biggest single fish. The Calcutta weight was 57.25 lbs., which also landed the crew a citation. They won a total of $3,830.
