3 local residents reappointed to Virginia Marine Products Board

Three local residents were reappointed to the Virginia Marine Products Board, Gov. Ralph Northam announced last Thursday.

J.C. Hudgins of Mathews (commercial waterman and president of the Virginia Watermen’s Association), Michael Oesterling of Gloucester (executive director, Shellfish Growers of Virginia) and retired Army Lt. Col. Daniel Knott of Gloucester (waterman and founder of Knott Alone-Hold Fast Inc.) were reappointed to three-year terms.

The Virginia Marine Products Board plans and conducts marketing, educational and promotional campaigns and programs for Virginia marine products, carries on research and testing programs and conducts activities relating to the catching, processing, conservation and marketing of Virginia marine products.
