3 co-op artists featured at RAL

Three Rappahannock Art League co-op artists—Laurie Breakwell, Gloria Clifford and Doug Mock—will display their artwork in January in the windows of the RAL Art Center in Kilmarnock. Breakwell moved to Kilmarnock from the Florida Keys a decade ago. Though more at home as a performing artist, she has become increasingly enamored of the visual arts and the people who create them, a release said. After a class in glass-on-glass mosaics in 2018, Breakwell purchased a small kiln and some glass to try her hand at fusing. It took one project in that kiln to know that lots more glass and a much larger kiln were needed. Now an exhibiting fused glass artist at RAL Art Center, Breakwell has been honored with numerous ribbons for her glass pieces, as well as mixed media and fiber works, and her fiber pieces have been featured in magazines covering the field.
