Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism is offering three Best Years Trips in the coming weeks for those 55 and older.
On Sunday, April 21, Gloucester PRT is sponsoring a Best Years Trip to the Norfolk Scope Arena for a chance to watch the Virginia International Tattoo. The trip will leave Gloucester at noon and return around 6:30 p.m. Those taking the trip will have lunch at Scope on their own. The fee is $75 and the deadline to sign up is April 14.
A trip to the Little Theater of Smithfield is planned for Sunday, May 5, to see “The Sound of Music.” The group will leave at 12:30 p.m. and return around 7. The fee is $45 and the deadline is April 14.
A third Best Years Trip is planned for Wednesday, June 12, to catch a matinee performance of “The Wizard of Oz” at the Riverside Center for the Performing Arts in Fredericksburg. That trip will depart at 9:30 a.m. and return around 6:45 p.m. The fee is $130 and lunch is included.
The deadline is April 30.
In addition, Gloucester PRT is sponsoring Bingo for ages 55 and over from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, April 24 at the Stewart Building. The fee is $10 and the deadline to register is April 17. Winnings are prizes, no cash.
