2nd Wonder at Ware ArtWalk about service

Ware Episcopal Church held its second Wonder at Ware Community ArtWalk this past Saturday. While the March ArtWalk was about perseverance through COVID-19, the May ArtWalk was about community service and empowering children to serve their community.

“They did this by picking vegetables from our garden to donate directly to Bread for Life,” said the Rev. Scott Parnell, rector of Ware Church. “They did this by painting a picture to be given to local nursing home residents. They did it by celebrating each other’s artwork and encouraging one another.

“It was a day about giving of ourselves for the betterment of the whole community—which is the servant’s heart we are nurturing at Ware as a faith community,” said Parnell. “It is our aspiration to be a place where people can come to get connected to and support their local communities, while caring for one another.”
