21 GHS student/athletes to embark on college careers

 

Gloucester High School honored 21 of its seniors who will continue to play their sports in college during a ceremony April 19 at the school.

Taige Brown will continue his football career at Christopher Newport University and Justin Simmons will take the gridiron at Bridgewater College this fall.

Continuing their field hockey careers are Karly Harwood at Longwood University, Izzy Morande at Shenandoah University, Taylor Green and Cheyenne Hollandsworth at Lynchburg College, Hattie Yeager and Brianna Miller at Eastern Mennonite University and Megan May at Randolph-Macon College. 

Soccer athletes who will play at the college level are Cieara Berg at Belmont Abbey College, Cody Civilla and Cameron Thompson at Lynchburg College, P.J. LeBel at Hampden-Sydney College, Maxx Polk at Westminster College and Elijah Smith, Tanner Griffith and Camden Heaton at Bluefield College.
