The Mathews County Treasurer’s Office is selling dog licenses for 2014. To purchase the new tags, the owner must provide the treasurer’s office with the dog’s current rabies certificate.

Treasurer Wendy Stewart said that dog tags will not be available the day of the rabies clinic, which is being held on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Fees for the tags range from $5 for one year for neutered or spayed dogs to $25 for multiple years for dogs not neutered or spayed.
