20 year strategic plan

NOTE: Due to the weather, the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors has postponed Tuesday night's meeting until Wednesday night, Feb. 18 in the colonial courthouse. It will begin at 7 p.m. and the public hearing will commence at 8 o'clock.

Gloucester residents will have an opportunity Tuesday night to comment on a strategic plan for the county that reaches through 2035. The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors recently developed the plan, which includes a second crossing over the York River, universal broadband internet access and more, during a two-day retreat held in January. The public hearing will begin at 8 o’clock in the colonial courthouse.

The board met with a consultant from the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service during the strategic planning retreat that was held in the Daffodil Gardens Community Room. The consultant led the board through its discussion, which mapped out the history of the county and how that history should play into its future growth....
