2 teachers appointed at Bethel Elementary

Cynthia Smith of Gloucester, and Sara Gregory of Urbanna, were appointed to teaching positions at Bethel Elementary by the Gloucester County School Board during its Jan. 8 meeting. Both appointments were effective Jan. 2. 

The board also appointed Ramey Childress of Gloucester, as a special education teacher at Gloucester High School, effective Jan. 9. In addition, Kristi Parker of Hayes, was appointed as the school nurse assistant at Petsworth Elementary, effective Feb. 5. 

The board also appointed Angelica Wagner of Gloucester as a special education teacher, effective for the 2019-2010 school year. 

In positions paid by supplement, the board appointed Matthew Copley as the junior varsity baseball coach at GHS and Patrick West as the baseball coach at Page Middle School. 

Resignations were accepted from support employee Pearl McCormack, effective Dec. 18, 2018 and GHS junior varsity baseball coach Anthony Morande, effective Dec. 19, 2018.  ...
