Two new exhibits, “Anything You Want” and “New Year, New Art,” opened to the public on Dec. 30 at the Rappahannock Art League’s RAL Art Center in Kilmarnock. Sixty-eight pieces of art, including paintings, pastels, photographs, ceramic art, mixed media pieces, fiber art, jewelry, and sculptures, are on display through Saturday, Jan. 31. A First Friday reception for the show was held on Friday, Jan. 2. “Whatever You Want,” featuring 47 works, is a celebration of artistic freedom, said a press release. The exhibition gave artists an opportunity to break through boundaries, follow their instincts, and let their imaginations take the lead. “New Year, New Art,” with 21 works, embodies the spirit of transformation, said the release. It provided an opportunity for artists to display pieces that explore innovation, rebirth, and the excitement of starting anew.
