The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving hosted its Annual Law Enforcement Recognition Awards on Oct. 20 at the Double Tree Hotel Midlothian in Richmond.
This year’s awards ceremony recognized more than 100 law enforcement officers, prosecutors, agencies and community groups for their dedication to impaired driving enforcement and prosecution. The event was hosted in-person and was livestreamed for those unable to attend.
Local officers receiving the awards included Gloucester Sheriff’s Office Deputy Nick Farris and Virginia State Trooper Jean-Marie Sebatumitsi of the Virginia State Police Area 33 Office in Gloucester.
