2 concerts this weekend at Flat Iron Crossroads

Flat Iron Crossroads in Gloucester has a pair of concerts lined up for this weekend. Roy Book Binder will perform at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Mary Moore will take the stage at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Roy Book Binder

A master of the blues guitar, Binder is a singer, songwriter, and great storyteller, said a press release, adding that his “intricate flat picking and ragtime feel will keep you grinning from ear to ear.” He is particularly known for shifting from open tunings to slide arrangements to original compositions “with both traditional and self-styled licks.”

Doors will open at 5:30, with Positive Pizza and the FIX Bar. Tickets are $15 and are available at www.flatironcrossroads.com.

Mary Moore

Moore is a folk-pop/indie-pop artist who grew up in Richmond and is now living in Nashville. The release stated that “with powerhouse vocals and storytelling lyrics, she has been captivating stages and connecting to people from all walks of life.”
