18-year-old allegedly robbed by six-member group

Four arrests have already been made, and two more are expected, in an armed robbery and maiming by mob that allegedly took place on Sunday, Oct. 16 in Hayes, according to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the GCSO investigation, six individuals had allegedly conspired to lure the 18-year-old male victim to Longview Drive at approximately 7:15 that morning. When the victim made contact with two members of the group, the other four were initially hidden and then came out of hiding and attacked the victim.

The victim was struck with firearms that were displayed by multiple members of the mob and suffered serious injuries. The victim further had property taken from him by the group during this attack. The victim was transported to Riverside Walter Reed Hospital for treatment and was later released.
