138 Tattoo announces staff changes

138 Tattoo, a tattoo and body piercing shop at Gloucester Point, has had several staff changes. Chris Barden is a tattooist at the shop, while Victoria Marshall is an apprentice body piercer. Meanwhile, Carmela Whirley, a piercing specialist, is now serving an apprenticeship to become a tattooist.

Barden has worked four years as a tattoo artist. He offers custom art and also works with sketches, or “flash,” to meet customers’ desires. Previously, he worked six years for a Williamsburg surveying/engineering company. Originally from Williamsburg, he resides at Hayes.

Marshall said the most popular body part to pierce among her customers is the nose. She said 138 Tattoo sells an assortment of body jewelry to use in piercings. Originally from Gloucester, Marshall is a graduate of Middlesex High School. She resides at Gloucester Point.
