Twelve wrestlers will represent Gloucester High School in the 5A South Regional Tournament Friday and Saturday at Green Run High School in Virginia Beach. They advanced with their performances in the Conference 10 Tournament held last Friday and Saturday at Nansemond River High School.
Hunter Owens, at 152 pounds, and Cameron Walker, at 195, won their respective weight divisions in the conference event. Placing second were Will Neikirk at 138, Russell Simpson at 182 and heavyweight Nathanael VanNess.
Taking third place were Malik Bertrand at 113, McKenzie Walker at 120, Jacob Raines at 145 and Scott Monahan at 160. Fourth place went to Michaela Foley at 126, Darrin Hair at 170 and Kayleb Whiting at 250. ...
