Florence Rainier of Mathews celebrated her 100th birthday on Tuesday with her daughters, Charlene Small and Renee McHone, as well as numerous family members who dropped by during the day, including three grandsons, three great-grandchildren, first cousin Rose Hudgins, 94, and many other cousins and friends. Rainier’s church, Spring Hill Baptist, sent her a bouquet of roses, and great-granddaughter Joice Small made her birthday cake.
