100th birthday

James E. Travenski of Hallieford, will turn 100 on Tuesday. He entered the military out of high school in 1940 and served 22 years, retiring at Fort Eustis. He has always enjoyed working in his garden and his yard and woodworking, especially making toys for his children and grandchildren and giving them away. His great-grandchildren are now playing with some of the original toys. Travenski married Gloria in 1951, and they will celebrate their 71st anniversary on June 1.
