Send us your daffodil photos

Just because this year’s Gloucester Daffodil Festival has been canceled, that’s no reason why we shouldn’t see the beautiful yellow flowers that are blossoming all over the area.

Virginia Glass captured this picture of her dog Suzy, who was named after Black-eyed Susans, in 2017. Suzy is shown enjoying the early arrival of daffodils in her yard at Glass.

So, while you’re stuck at home during this enforced vacation, we have an assignment for you. Pick up your camera and take some photos of daffodils and your child. Or daffodils and your dog. Or daffodils by themselves. Whatever strikes your fancy.

We’ll check them out and share the best of them for other folks to see. Send them to editor@gazettejournal.net. And, send along information about the photo (including where it is, the names of the person, dog or whatever) and anything else we should know.

Be sure to practice social distancing. Thank you, and have fun!
