Lady Dukes beat Warwick, 59-44

The Gloucester High School girls’ varsity basketball team beat Warwick, 59-44, in Tuesday night’s thrilling away game. Gloucester and Warwick were evenly matched in the first quarter; Gloucester earning eight points and Warwick earning nine. The Lady Dukes fell behind a little by the end of halftime with Warwick leading, 24-19. By the end of the third quarter, Gloucester was in the lead, 38-36, and kept its momentum in the fourth quarter by earning 21 points and beating Warwick by 15. Top scorers include Kenna Keyes with 18 points, Lauren Hall with 17 points and Zebe Rhodes with nine points. Other scorers for Gloucester include Cici Roye with six points, Kylie Fisk with four points, Erin Bell and Cali Vickers both scoring two points and Maria Lisi earning one point. The jayvee girls’ team also had a successful night against Warwick, beating the Raiders, 46-22. The varsity Lady Dukes will be on the road again Friday night when they travel to play Woodside.
