The Mathews High School junior varsity volleyball team kept its unbeaten streak alive this week with wins over King William and West Point. The girls were put to the test last Thursday as the Cavaliers won the first set—the first the MHS JV girls have lost all year. They came back to win the next two and take the game.

On Tuesday night, the JV girls easily defeated West Point, 25-9 and 25-17.

The 5-0 JV Lady Devils will host Middlesex tonight, beginning at 5:30. Then the team will be off until Sept. 30, when MHS hosts Washington and Lee.

The hitting aspect of the game was supported by Crittenden with four kills. Following her, Coons contributed three kills, then Sarah Ashbaugh and Kayla Carr each with one.
