Gloucester boys place second in regional CC meet

The Gloucester High School boys’ cross country team placed second in Saturday’s Region 5A meet and, as a result, will advance to Saturday’s state meet.
For the GHS girls, Nicole Pinder placed 14th overall, being the only girl to advance to the state meet. As a team, the Gloucester girls placed ninth.
For the boys, Tanner Baker placed fourth with a time of 17:19, followed by Conner O’Beirne in eighth (17:37), Austin Ezzell in 21st (17:57), Jaxson Ellison in 27th (18:06), Justin Burgess in 37th (18:23), Josh Ipock in 51st (18:56) and Mikey Toms in 54th (19:03).
Following Pinder for the GHS girls were Jaeda Torres (22:35), Layla Angles (24:01), Cori Morgan (24:03), Makala White (24:12), Lydia Hart (24:20) and Emily Shipe (24:27).
This Saturday, the GHS boys and Pinder will be running in the state meet at The Plains.
