She was at her happiest when making others happy.

She owned and operated The Happy Hooker Seafood Restaurant at Rowes Point for several years, where she was an exceptional hostess. She loved sporty cars, racing her ’69 Camaro “Swiffer Da Mouse” in the pro stock circuit and representing NHRA as “Miss Universe” for Drag Car Racing. She enjoyed water and boating. She was an animal lover and her favorite pet was Penelope. Throughout her life, Brenda touched many with her kindness, generosity and compassion.

She is survived by her brother, Clayton Sherwood and wife Leigh; daughter, Kathy Betancourt; son, Paul E. Femiani; grandchildren, Brenda and Maggie Betancourt and Zoey Tyler; nephew, Edward Clayton Sherwood, and niece, Maria Sherwood.
