Gloucester seeks help in developing broadband access list

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors is seeking the public’s help in reviewing a list of all known residences and businesses that do not currently have access to Cox Communications’ services. This is a step in the board’s initiative to expand broadband in the county.

The compiled list is available for review on the county’s website, www.gloucesterva.info and at both public libraries. If Cox does not offer service to your address, it is important for your address to be on the list as plans move forward for broadband expansion, a release stated.

Those residents whose names are not on the list are asked to submit an address add-on form, which is available at both libraries during regular hours. Every additional address submitted must be manually verified, so it is important not to submit an address without checking the compiled list first, the release stated.

The information at both libraries will be available through April 10. For more information, contact assistant county administrator Carol Steele at csteele@gloucesterva.info or 804-693-4042.
