Gloucester residents Matt and Gloria Williams, with their church, Abingdon Episcopal at White Marsh, spearheaded an effort to send needed items to the couple’s hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina, following Hurricane Florence’s destruction there. According to Gloria, more than $1,100 worth of emergency clean-up buckets and supplies was delivered recently to Morehead City’s Salvation Army Disaster Relief Distribution Center as a result of the collection. Gloria, along with her father, Sil Mazzella, who still lives in Wilmington, helped with the distribution efforts.
