Gloucester churches provide meals for children during Spring Break

Four local churches have teamed up to offer free bagged lunches to any child in Gloucester while the school system is closed this week for Spring Break

Petsworth Baptist Church, along with help from BridgePoint, Providence and Union Baptist churches, will offer curbside distribution of bagged lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Petsworth Baptist parking lot at 2471 Hickory Fork Road, beginning Monday and continuing through Friday, April 10.

Meals will be served on a first-come, first-served basis, rain or shine. Just show up to pick up your meal and no information is required. When you pull into the parking lot, look for directions on drive up.

The church volunteers will pass the meal through your window or put it in your trunk, whichever you desire. They ask that you please stay in your vehicle at all times.
