A 13-year-old boy was killed Friday while he was a passenger in a car that struck the rear of a log trailer in Middlesex County.
According to state police, a 2018 Kenworth T880 tractor-trailer was disabled on the right shoulder of Tidewater Trail (Route 17) southbound south of McKans Road (Route 601). A 2006 Scion XB was southbound in the right lane before it drifted to the right shoulder and struck the rear of the log trailer being towed by the Kenworth.
The collision severely damaged the Scion and instantly killed the 13-year-old front-seat passenger, who was restrained at the time of the accident. The state police said the driver of the Scion, 64-year-old Roger Henderson, was transported to Riverside Walter Reed Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. ...
