Fishing has been hit-and-miss again this week.
Jerry Thrash of Queens Creek Outfitters at Cobbs Creek, said non-stop rain on Sunday kept just about everyone off the water. "Saturday did produce keeper flounder in the Cell area and at Cape Charles," he said.
Thrash reported croakers are still available in the creeks and puppy drum are being caught over hard bottom in the shallows.
"Pan-sized gray trout have made showings in good-sized schools off Gwynn’s Island," Thrash said.
Spot are being caught off Gwynn’s Island, Butlers Hole and the Spike, he added.
