The Mathews High School varsity boys’ basketball season came to an end last Wednesday with a loss in the regional tournament to Essex High School.

In post-season honors, the Blue Devils had one first-team All-District selection (Deondre Foster), one second-team pick (Dayshon Williamson) and one member of the All-Academic team (Chris Perreault). Mathews also received the Tidewater District Sportsmanship Award.
