Sparky’s Electric tops softball standings

Sparky’s Electric topped the regular season standings in the Gloucester Slow Pitch Softball Association’s summer league play with a 14-1 record. Sparky’s beat GCSO/Lumberjacks, 24-22, in the final game of the regular season to win the championship. The GCSO/Lumberjacks finished up at 13-2. Jamie Phelps of Sparky’s was named the regular season MVP.

After the top two teams, Team Womack and Victory Construction had 7-8 records, followed by Team Taylor at 5-10 and Spencer’s Marketing at 3-12. The GSSA will hold its end-of-season tournament this week.
