Gloucester High School varsity basketball players continue to fight for their first spot in a Peninsula District tournament in a dozen years. The Dukes, 5-12 in the district, split a pair of games in recent action and must beat Denbigh in their final regular season contest at GHS tonight to seal a tournament spot.
A loss to the Patriots could mean a post-schedule playoff to determine who gets the last tourney slots. Warwick and Denbigh are at 5-12 and 4-13, respectively, going into their final games. The Dukes beat Denbigh, 73-69, in their first match-up of the season.
