Gloucester High School varsity field hockey players continued to dominate their opponents in recent action. The Dukes have been playing outstanding defense and have not allowed a goal against them.

Gloucester blanked Bethel, 7-0, at GHS on Tuesday. Kayla Sadler and Cassidy Goodwin each had a hat trick in the win and Courtnie Greene added a goal. Katelyn Curtis had a pair of assists and Goodwin had one. The Dukes also beat Phoebus, 14-0, on Sept. 11.

"I’m extremely proud of our defense," said Gloucester coach Mike Miller. While the Gloucester forwards put on the press, the defenders back them up and keep the ball moving ahead. As a result, the Dukes control the tempo, and the game.
