Gloucester High School varsity field hockey players continued to reign over their Peninsula opponents in recent action. The Dukes beat Kecoughtan at GHS, 6-0, on Monday and blew out the Hurricanes, 16-0, at Heritage on Sept. 4.

"Defensively, we really dominated the game and controlled the tempo," GHS coach Mike Miller said of the win over the Warriors. "We played very good defense as a team. We took 30 shots on goal while they only had one."

Junior Tori Harwood had a hat trick and an assist for the Dukes in the win, senior Courtnie Green scored twice and had an assist and senior Kayla Sadler scored. Sophomores Bri Greene and Cassidy Goodwin each contributed an assist.
