Warriors pull away in third quarter to beat Dukes, 36-14
It looked to be a close game in the first half, but Kecoughtan’s football team pulled away in the third quarter and went on to beat Gloucester, 36-14, on Friday at Darling Stadium.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Warriors passed for two touchdowns and added a two-point conversion for a 15-0 lead. Gloucester got on the board when James Scott took the ball 80 yards for a score late in the first half to make it 15-7 at the break.
Kecoughtan put together another scoring drive in the third quarter and tacked on two extra points. The Warriors also recovered a Gloucester fumble, one of six fumbles lost by the Dukes, and returned it 65 yards for another touchdown and a 30-7 lead.
