Fishing reports this week remain pretty much the same. Jerry Thrash of Queens Creek Outfitters, Cobbs Creek, reported that spot are being caught in Butlers Hole, the Spike and in 25-28 feet of deep waters off Gwynn’s Island. Croakers are still available in the creeks with some larger fish coming from shallow waters in the evening. He said puppy drum are being caught over hard bottom in the shallows.

"Pan-sized gray trout have made showings in good-sized schools off Gwynn’s Island," Thrash said. "The schools look like a trash pile on your fish finder." He said these fish are limited to one keeper per person (12 inches or larger) but can be enjoyed catch and release by jigging Sting Silvers or bucktail jigs tipped with pink or Electric Chicken soft plastics or Gulp baits.
