Flounder tourney nets $10,726 for B&G club
The Boys and Girls Club of Gloucester’s eighth annual Flounder Tournament, held out of Crown Pointe Marina, netted $10,726 for the organization, according to spokesperson Chuck Ashe.
Ashe said 12 awards were given, including a $2,000 first place to Steve Barefoot of Hayes, with a 20.70-pound catch.
Other awards included Mike Hurst, second place, $1,000, 16.95 pounds; Bobby Moore, third place, $500, 14.70 pounds; Mark McElwean, fourth place, $275, 14.30; Richie Lewis, fifth place, $225, 14.10; Keith Horsley (First Advantage Federal Credit Union), sixth place, $175, 13.60; Jim Leiffer (York River Feed), seventh place, 11.30; Keith Cerny, eighth place, 11.05; Tabb Bridges (West Marine), ninth place, 10.20; Jerry Morgan (Phillips Energy), 10th place, 9.50; Ethon Moore (York River Feed), Youth Angler, 7.85, and Jackie Moore (Golden Creations), Lady Angler, 4.10.
