Fall rockfish season starts Tuesday
The fall rockfish season in Virginia’s portion of the Chesapeake Bay opens at midnight Tuesday and continues until 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31.
During this season, as in prior years, an angler may keep two rockfish between 18 and 28 inches in length each day; and of this quota, one fish may be 34 inches or longer.
No fish between 28 and 34 inches may be kept, according to state regulations.
The Virginia coastal rockfish season has been underway since May and continues until the end of the year.
